This is all you need if you want a old skool type of receiver. I'm using for TV, DVD and CD. The radio works really good in a rural area with so-so reception. I don't have the patience for lots of fiddling around with components and this is plug and play. It looks good and sounds even better! I don't understand all the hype about 5.1. Audio in stereo is the way to go if you have a decent system and speakers. Just remember to set your DVD player to stereo and make sure your DVDs are set for stereo sound to get the best audio using this 2.1 receiver. I purchased because of reviews on Amazon and other retailers, and the low price for the quality. Glad I did. Pairing with an Onkyo CD player so I use the receiver remote for both.
